Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati - The "man of the beatitudes" as described by JPII in his canonization, lived "life to the full". His eyes looked deep into each soul he encountered. He always made time for a new friend regardless of their economic status. No one was a stranger for Pier Giorgio. He was constantly inviting his friends to receive the sacraments and could frequently be found skiing, mountain climbing or on some other adventure with his companions.
Pier Giorgio is our namesake for his great gifts in developing authentic friendship, encouraging others to pray and receive the sacraments, and his example of service to the poor.
